The Hermiston Hornets have burst onto the scene with an explosive start to the season, igniting the track with their speed and determination. With two exhilarating races already in the books, the Hornets have left spectators on the edge of their seats, craving more action-packed moments.


What sets this season apart is the remarkable feat of two consecutive victories by female drivers, highlighting that nothing separates driver's except their desire to WIN! The Question Remains, who will pick up the Victory May 11th?

Meet Karin Pitzer- Karen Took home her first feature win April 20th after racing part time for the last 5 years!

what do you do for fun off the track?
 I love to play with my grandson, golf, travel with my partner !


what is it like racing with several competitors that are so close in times?
The racing is incredible and very competitive, I love being able to run with the pack. The times are so close everyone has an opportunity to win! It has taken awhile but learning how to win is a huge challenge.


what do you like most about racing at hermiston ?
I love the huge family of drivers and the fans are incredible and make me want to improve.

Meet Kamery Welton- Kamery Took Home her first career win April 29th!!!

This was your first win! Kamery Congratulations- What was your strategy & how did it feel finally taking home a well deserved victory?
So my main strategy was honestly just trying to stay calm and not overdrive because I knew if I slipped up that I was going to lose the lead. Taking home my first win is surreal and lots of emotions were behind that win because we have gone through a lot last season and fixed the car several times and to think that I actually won and brought my car to victory lane was just amazing. 

How long have you been racing?
I’ve been racing for three years and am currently in my fourth season.

What do you do for fun off the track?
Off the track I go to perry tech for automotive full time and on my time off from school I work on my race car, or any vehicle or am at a car show.

What is it like racing with several competitors that are so close in times?
Racing with my competitors always makes for a good race. Those guys are so awesome and I think it’s a good show for the fans when we can have some good side by side racing action.

What do you like most about racing at hermiston ?
Hermiston has its own uniqueness to it, because it’s a drivers track, from the track surface to the hump in turn one to how abrasive and rough the track is makes for some fun, interesting and eventful races. I can definitely say that I’m thankful I’ve learned my race craft at hermiston raceway because it’s made me the driver I am today
